Friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast is a small feast in itself ! Dietary restrictions ? Not a problem, homemade jams, jellies and the best salted caramel butter ever !!! He even made bread for Weegie the way he likes it !!!!! The best is when Alain sits down to join you. It's not impersonal at all, more like family having breakfast. I choose La Cognee whilst on a business trip for it's close proximity to Francazal and was delighted with my choice! The owner Mr Alain could not do enough to make my stay a comfortable one, nothing was too much trouble. My room was excellent with an comfortable bed, delightful furnishings and exact attention to detail, I can find nothing wrong to comment on. The breakfast was excellent and again, Mr Alain was most accommodating in my every request. La Cognee is more a "home from home" then a hotel and my stay was more relaxing then many hotels, if you seek a very relaxed atmosphere away from the more "standard" hotel then La Cognee is just the place!” (Martin VG - Guernesey)

One of the nicest B&Bs I have stayed in. The owner is friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the food is marvelous. The owner gave up the big busines rat race for a job where his love of cooking and enjoyment of people could be used.While he seems to aim for the vacationer, the location is ideal for a business person working at Airbus. The owner accommodated early and late breakfast. Dinner is available with 24 hours notice and was the best bargain of the trip as well as the best lamb I have had outside the Middle East. Wifi works and parking is available around the corner on the street. The owner speaks adequate English and is raqpidly getting better. The accommodations were excellent, and for a reasonable price. I upgraded to a larger room for just a few more Euros. It was very spacious, with great furniture and a comfortable bed. Clean too. The food was outstanding, and a specialty that I requested for dinner was prepared just for me. In fact, if I had any requests, they were always taken care of promptly.
